Berlin Residential Portfolio

The Berlin Residential Portfolio was acquired by Fund I in November 2001 and sold in December 2005.

Doughty Hanson was one of the first international investors to enter the German residential sector when it acquired over 1,100 apartments totalling 62,700 sqm of lettable area. The portfolio was located in Berlin-Spandau, a well-established residential sub-market.

During our ownership, Doughty Hanson reduced vacancy, lowered operating expenses and increased rental income following a selective refurbishment programme.
