Holtzbrinck Portfolio

The Holtzbrinck Portfolio was acquired by Fund I in December 2002 and sold in August 2006.

The portfolio of seven properties comprised 40,000 sqm of fully let, high quality office space located in the German cities of Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Würzburg. A portion of the portfolio was leased back to Holtzbrinck Group companies as part of the transaction structure.

During our ownership, Doughty Hanson refurbished the headquarters of the financial newspaper Handelsblatt, improved cash flow by reducing non-recoverable expenditure and positioned the portfolio for an asset by asset sales programme.
