ITN Building
The ITN Building was acquired by Fund I in April 2001 and sold in September 2005.
The ITN Building was a landmark office property designed by Sir Norman Foster and strategically located in London’s mid-town sub-market. The building was known to millions as the main broadcasting facility for television news producer ITN, and provided a total of 22,500 sqm of state-of-the-art office space for other prominent tenants such as Granada, Reuters and London Weekend Television.
During our ownership, Doughty Hanson increased rental income by 18% through rent review negotiations and lease restructurings whilst maintaining a weighted average unexpired lease term of more than 9 years. We also implemented a capital improvement programme, with costs fully recoverable from tenants.
