Kobenhavns Energi

Kobenhavns Energi was acquired by Fund I in June 2003 and sold in December 2005.

The transaction involved the acquisition of the 19,000 sqm historical Copenhagen headquarters of local electricity supplier Kobenhavns Energi as well as the development of a new pre-leased headquarters in Orestad. Doughty Hanson acquired the project as part of a joint venture with the listed Danish real estate company Sjælsø Gruppen A/S.

During our ownership, Doughty Hanson agreed a lease for the historical property to the local Education Department, developed the new headquarters to an institutional standard, and pre-sold the development to a long term investor.
